UST invites highly able and motivated applicants for vacancies in ALL specialities in the following colleges:

  1. Medicine,
  2. Dentistry,
  3. Pharmacy,
  4. Nursing Sciences,
  5. Medical Laboratory Sciences,
  6. Engineering: Civil, Medical, Chemical, Electronics and Communications,
  7. Computer Sciences and Information Technology,
  8. Administrative Sciences and Accounting.

 

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in the respective speciality (for the Professor, Associate and Assistant Professor positions), and a master’s degree (MSc/MPhil) in the respective filed for the Lecturer positions. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching.


job responsibility

The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, supervision and administrative duties. Candidates are responsible for undertaking the teaching duties assigned by the Dean/Head of Department, Program Director, and produce learning and teaching materials and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area. Lecturers will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programs in accordance with the University’s strategy, policy and procedures, contribute to activities which influence leading edge practice and undertake research activity.

 

Teaching covers all courses in the field of the particular speciality, as described in the courses’ specifications.

Positions may include the establishment of specific Laboratory sessions, if relevant, as well as the engagement in academic collaboration with partner institutes.

 

The successful candidate will establish and lead a research group in the respective field, actively promote graduate and undergraduate research, and attract third-party funded projects in any chosen areas of interest in the respective speciality.


job qualifications

 

Experience/skills:
• Doctorate/PhD or equivalent qualification or evidence of conducted research.
•   Proven teaching and practical expertise in diverse areas of the speciality.

• Strong commitment to continuous career development.


• Ability to work well with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds, professional experience and aesthetic sensibilities.


• Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills in English, which is the teaching language.


• Good management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, communicate and motivate effectively.


• An interest in working collaboratively within the UST and with external partners towards the development of shared projects.


• Solid experience and a proven track record preferably in the field of speciality.


Requirements:
Academic Title will be assigned to successful applicants based on the highest degree achieved, working experience, teaching and research experience.
